The elegant dining room is graced with a crystal chandelier and colors reminiscent of the Victorian era. The sitting rooms are enhanced by a intricate and elaborate fireplace with large gracious windows which allow light to fill the rooms.
Each room has been carefully restored and refinished from floor to ceiling, with careful attention to the selection of the fabrics and linen colors of each room.....reflecting the moments Back Inn Time when the atmosphere of a gracious lifestyle prevailed.
Our guests are welcome to enjoy our sitting rooms and reading areas located on two levels. Wonder through our English gardens or sit back in one of our side porches. Enjoy a cup of tea, a good book or just relax.
Our establishment is a Victorian home built in 1860 by Victor Atwood. The history of the home is unique in that it has had only two previous owners and was passed down through the generations for 150 years.
The current owners are Pauline Cray and Paul Ralston. They purchased the property in 1999 and have spent over three years restoring the home and perennial gardens. Your hostess Pauline, had for many years been nurturing a dream to do two things, own her own bed & breakfast and buy and sell antiques. For the past decade, she has selectively purchased unique and interesting items from New England and had searched extensively for the perfect place to fulfill her dream. When she discovered this beautiful Victorian mansion, she knew from the first moment she stepped into it, that her search had ended.
Room by room, Pauline and Paul have meticulously restored this home to its original beauty. They are now ready to share with you, a place in time.
